There's only four teams involved in football's top honours these days, so what's it like to win silverware every season? This is the blog of one football fan who decided to, fully and unconditionally, do the unthinkable and change the football team he supported to spend one season at the top... AND NOW HE'S DOING A SIMILAR THING FOR EURO 2008 WITH A MATE BECAUSE THE SEASON'S FINISHED AND THEY'RE BOTH BORED

The Silly Season’s still absolutely buzzing after Tuesday…

Even if I’m convinced my support doesn’t feel completely real, I couldn’t feel more involved in the madness of Arsenal’s season.

From one weekend wandering if Arsenal are no better than any other Premiership team, to believing they can beat anyone and win everything What a roller-coaster!

I’m I need a holiday…

Score prediction: Wigan 1-5 Arsenal

Ahh ... the business end of the season! This is where United predictably put together a run of form and Arsenal flounder irritatingly. It is naive of me to think Arsenal deserve to win everything for playing the best football, but I do, and United's/Ferguson's usual cocky belligerence and tenacity always seems to me the embodiment of 'Evil' that opposes Arsenal's 'Good'.
That said, United's exit from the FA cup shows they are fallible; but will they be fallible when Arsenal need them to be? That is the thing wherein we will catch the conscience of our chance to win.

The Silly Season:
After years of being bashed by United one way or another, I'm expecting the worst. But thewn I've never won the league in the last few seconds of a season before before…

The season you go supporting a big four team beacuse you believe they'll win everything from now on and look what happens! Tottenham win the carling cup and all the big four are out of the FA cup. Maybe you've jinxed them with this experiment, if so can you do again next season? You'll never feel anything meaningful for Arsenal through. Look at Barnsley's FA cup celebration, you wouldn't see Arsenal fans doing that beacuse they take it for granted.(And its probably not allowed at the Emirates)

The Silly Season:
They don't let you take pictures at the Emirates, let alone the corner flag.

Yeah, I felt drained, jealous and a bit stupid when Barnsley won. It was brilliant though - a triumph for real football... or something.

It's 0-0 at half time... Oh please let the second half be a 6-goal thriller. I need it, for pete's sake. If my team are consistently terrible (we actually look like we might finish beneath Spurs which was my nightmare) then at least the other games could be interesting!

Also the fact that there are no teams from the "Big 4" in the semi-finals will no doubt be the subject of much derision for you, but I personally think it should be a personal victory! Sods' law means that basically you have ensured the final rounds being interesing! Of course it wasn't going to be a Big 4 club if you started supporting one!

The Silly Season:
Of course! This is all me isn't it! I should be given a knighthood in Norfolk, not a public lynching.

I'm writing this jsut as the final whistle has gone at Upton Park. I'm sorry I feel you're pan…

oh dear oh dear even more points dropped, I really think Arsenal are gonna cock it up. You've cursed them this season. Please support them again next year ;)

The Silly Season:
No chance, they're sh*t!

I'm Barnsley through and through…
