There's only four teams involved in football's top honours these days, so what's it like to win silverware every season? This is the blog of one football fan who decided to, fully and unconditionally, do the unthinkable and change the football team he supported to spend one season at the top... AND NOW HE'S DOING A SIMILAR THING FOR EURO 2008 WITH A MATE BECAUSE THE SEASON'S FINISHED AND THEY'RE BOTH BORED

Feelin' good

Feelin' good

I’m a bit scared now…

I thought my passion for Arsenal was probably going to be a non-starter. I thought I couldn’t feel anything for this big, ugly, red sporting behemoth…

But last night was absolutely amazing

No one gave us (whoops!) a chance, but Arsenal couldn’t have played that game any better. Even Eboué wasn’t sh*t.

The dream is back on

The mayhem in the pub was something to remember: beer and people flying all over the place.

I’m not saying I don’t want to go back to Norwich. I’m still missing it a lot, especially as they were playing in Watford last night - a game I would definitely have gone to.

It’s just that, for one moment (admittedly a really, really good moment) last night, I looked down at my AFC pin badge and got a special feeling. I wasn’t the special feeling, but it was something.

Hi Silly Season,

As a massive Norwich fan I'm here to do what
all Norwich fans seem to do to do and call you
childish names.

Nah, not really - I actually think the idea
behind your blog is quite interesting. However,
I do have a question:

With Arsenal, Chelsea and debatably Tottenham
being seen as the cream of London, do you think
that other London clubs are suffering in terms
of number of fans, revenue, media coverage of
being in the shadow of these larger clubs?

The Silly Season:
I think ALL clubs are suffering as a result of those clubs, and The Big Four. If I was Brentford I'd move out of London, or something.

It's great to hear from a Norwich fan who isn't psychotic with rage… Welcome!

I'm just happy that you won, in all honesty. What I would really like is a draw that doesn't put the English clubs with each other, but that I know is a vain hope. The only English team I really don't want to win it is Chelsea. Otherwise I'd be fairly happy!

That badge just reminds me quite how much I preferred the old logo. The new one is OK, as logos go, but it just feels too... New.

The Silly Season:
I know I'm not actually 'qualified' to say this... but I think the new logo is sh*t. It's just to... well, new.

Easy, easy, don't let the fireworks draw you in too deep, LOL. I must admit, it was a brilliant display by Arsenal and as a temporary supporter you chose a hell of a team to rally for. The previous weeks are all dust in the wind and you now seem to have brilliant timing. I shall continue to view the experiment. Cheers

The Silly Season:
Many thanks, Ulysses, your support is massively appreciated.

And you're right… What a season for Arsenal!

I’m very interested in topics like that, but this one sounds especially truthful, and I really trust the source where it came from. Sooner or later it was going to come out and it finally did!

Lovely post. I like your pencraft and that’s great that you’ve opened this subject. Only fool can disagree with this!
